In-Ground Outdoor Tornado Shelters
Same Strength - Different Lid
Our outdoor in-ground shelters are built with the same construction, safety standards, and comfort features as our garage models. The difference? The door and the vent design.
Instead of a sliding lid, outdoor shelters use a reinforced outward-opening door designed for yard installations. The vent is also raised and covered to keep rain out while maintaining airflow.

Our above-ground safe rooms are designed with the same uncompromising strength as our in-ground models but with the added benefit of easy, stair-free entry. Perfect for families who need wheelchair access, want the simplest entry point for kids, or prefer to avoid climbing down during severe weather.
Built from solid steel and a thick outer skin to resist flying debris, each unit is anchored with 6' heavy-duty bolts and framed with 2' tubing and steel plates. These shelters are tested to withstand EF5 tornado winds and keep your family safe and comfortable.

Required For All Above Ground Outdoor Units
For outdoor above-ground units, a concrete pad is required to properly anchor the shelter. If you do not already have a foundation in place, no worries! Our team can install one for you for $1,700 to make sure your shelter is fully secure and storm-ready.
